How to Hire a Virtual Assistant

Need a day off or a few hours away from work? Then it’s about time you hired a Virtual Assistant. Finding the right one for the job may not be daunting, you just have to know the right questions to ask and what to look out for:

Check Out Qualifications
It’s very important to prescreen your Virtual Assistant, to gauge whether their CV and skill sets match up to your expectations for the job.

Size Up the Candidate
Each time you get an applicant in your inbox, send them a standard set of questions or tests- you can also have them call your voicemail and leave a specific set of instructions for them to follow or answer. Whoever gets it right, gets the job!

Do a Trial Run
Have your Virtual Assistant actually do some tasks you need done during the course of a day. Keep tabs on things- know what they are able to do and not do without your supervision. Communicate clearly as possible. If the VA is competent enough to survive your workload and even your eccentricities in one work day, they perhaps you got a mature and reliable Virtual Assistant at hand.
